One end of the needle is inserted into the patient’s vein, the other end, covered by a rubber cuff, is used to puncture the tube rubber stopper. The cuff keeps the system airtight during tube change. A multi-sample needle maintains a closed blood collection system, where blood enters the tube without being exposed to the external environment.

The needle cover has a perforated label, making it easy to remove the cover, also serving as a visual indication of package integrity. The cover is elongated to prevent the needle from blunting.

All needles are silicone-treated, sterile and intended for a single-use.
